Had a private party in the wonderful marquee in the garden. Gorgeous weather, sides of marquee all open, great atmosphere, fabulous hot/cold buffet drinks, music, dancing. Very attentive staff. Spot on. Will definitely book again soon.

We were extremely lucky to hold our wedding reception at The Gloucester Old Spot the beginning of May. Amy and her team were honestly the best, helping us with every aspect from start to finish, both professionally and super friendly! We had our wedding here on the bank holiday weekend in May and I can honestly say from the moment we booked the marquee everything has been great. Amy was so great with us, always on hand via email to respond to any questions or queries and was so accommodating for us aswell. The big day came and I can’t fault them! The Old Spot is a fantastic pub, we come often, and it's always exceptional. Great food, drinks and lovely friendly staff.

The staff were friendly & attentive, the food was delicious, and the decor is beautiful. It all helped to create a perfect evening catching up with a friend.

Delicious Sunday roast - and particularly accommodating for coeliac. Amazed to have a gluten free Yorkshire pudding - such a rarity!!

I had my 40th birthday party at the Gloucester Old Spot and it was fabulous. The pub looked so pretty decorated with Chinese lanterns and fairy lights, and the buffet was delicious, with many people commenting on this to me. The staff were so helpful on the night and organising the event beforehand was very straightforward, with one in-person meeting and the rest done over email. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the pub for an event or to have an event there again.

A really lovely experience, delicious food, good service and nice atmosphere. Food appears a little on the more expensive side but not when you appreciate the quality, portion and presentation. We held our daughter's first birthday party in the Marquee and it could not have gone better! The guests loved the atmosphere, and the food was constantly complimented on. Amy and the team really went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly. We thought we might wrap up early but the guests were having such a good time that we stayed right until the end. We will be coming back here again. Fantastic experience.

This is a hidden gem in Bristol. No matter the occasion you will not be disappointed. It’s not central but worth going out of your way for. Fantastic food. Fantastic atmosphere. Having run a pub myself I know this is down to competent management and run by someone who really cares and loves what they do.

We held our 25th Wedding Aniversary party at the Old Spot and everything was brilliant from prior arrangement, communication, food, service, staff and value for money. Our guests really enjoyed it and throught the booking and finalising details Amy, Simon and Wes were so helpful - and always said yes to any request. Thank you for making our event so special!

Just celebrated my birthday at the Old Spot in the marquee out in the garden and it was fantastic. It's a low deposit, they offer two buffet food menus - we chose the pizza, chips and salad one and it was all delicious and freshly made. We had liberty to decorate as needed, the staff were helpful with rearranging any furniture and in the lead up equally helpful in answering lots of questions via email. Can highly recommend not only for an event but even as a lovely place to go for regular drinks or food.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch here and was very happy to have Yorkshire pudding with my meal as GLUTEN FREE option was available. Even more happy when it came to desserts and there was a choice! Ice-cream or nothing is the usual offerings at most places.

The GOS very kindly let us use their marquee to hold a quiz night in aid of St Peter’s Hospice and provided us with a very generous prize. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly throughout the evening and those who ate on the night were thoroughly impressed both with the quality of the food and the service. I can’t praise this pub enough and we will be holding further functions (choir social and a birthday celebration) there in the near future.
