Weddings at The Old Spot

If you’re dreaming of an elegant yet relaxed wedding celebration, The Old Spot could be the perfect venue. Available to hire year-round, we offer a unique blend of charm, character, and flexibility.

Greet your guests with bubbles and canapés in our sun-trapped garden before moving inside to a beautifully decorated restaurant space, styled to suit your taste.

Whether you’re planning a sit-down wedding breakfast or a more informal buffet, our events planning team will work with you to tailor the food and drink to your vision and ensure that every guest leaves happy (and well-fed!).

Our hire fee is £250 for daytime or evening use, or £500 for exclusive access all day. A minimum spend also applies, which depends on the time of year, the day of the week, and how long you’d like the pub for. Get in touch and we’ll be happy to talk through your plans and provide a bespoke quote.

We had our wedding celebration at The Gloucester Old Spot in Bristol, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. Amy, the landlady, was truly incredible. She went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly — always friendly, full of energy, and genuinely invested in making it special for us. Nothing was too much trouble, and her warmth really set the tone for the whole event. The venue itself was colourful, vibrant, and full of character — exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for. If you’re thinking about hosting a wedding or any special event, I cannot recommend The Gloucester Old Spot and Amy enough. It was everything we dreamed of and more.
