Really great Sunday lunch. Very accommodating. One of our group arrived very late. Initially they put the meal under the heat lamp but she was so late they just remade her lunch for her. Really kind. Made our two toddlers feel very welcome. Highly recommend the Nutella doughnuts.

We hosted our baby shower in the marquee and it was absolutely gorgeous – the staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble and all our guests were raving about the food being amazing (we went for the buffet menu) – couldn’t fault it and everyone was saying what a lovely atmosphere the marquee was and how beautiful the pub was.
We can’t thank Amy & her team at the Old Gloucester Spot for making our Wedding Day so special from the 1st time of meeting her nothing was to much trouble, even decorating the pub with our personal stamp on the already beautiful quirky decor of the pub, We arrranged for extra flowers & balloons for the tables just to put our stamp on the place matching our colour scheme! The hog roast menu was outstanding our guests now still commenting on how wonderful the food was, followed by the mini desserts Selection, guests were being constantly be topped up with our welcome Prosecco by her team! Who were a very friendly bunch, pizzas for evening were amazing too! All in whole we had the most perfect day, in every way & nothing but compliments to Amy & her team from our guests a lot saying they will be revisiting to try the pub menu after how much they enjoyed the food.
We couldn’t have asked for more from the Gloucester Old Spot staff. Nothing was too much trouble, the marquee was beautifully decorated for us and a speaker provided for music. From my initial conversation about the booking, through to settling up on the way out, everything was perfect. Thank you so much for giving us all such a lovely evening.
We had a great evening at The Gloucester Old Spot. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing and all the staff were super helpful. We ate a very tasty meal which was freshly cooked and there was plenty of choice, even if you have allergies or food intolerances. The prices of the food and drinks were reasonable. The pub was very busy for quiz night but this didn’t stop fast service. We sat in the lovely outside space and enjoyed a warm evening. The best pub we have been in for a long time. Many thanks!
I was celebrating my 80th with 35/40 friends. All my friends were very positive about the experience. The service was efficient but unobtrusive. We all loved it! The food was superb and good value for money.
Service and attention from the staff is second to none. We have booked a couple of functions here, and visited on many occasions for a meal or drinks. Staff are always attentive and polite. Food is really good. I just celebrated my 60th here, with a Hog Roast – would thoroughly recommend.

We had our wedding here in July and it was the most perfect day! All of our 120 guests said how it was the perfect venue for the day and commented on how beautiful it was and how safe they felt. Amy was absolutely incredible the whole way through the process. She was organised and friendly whilst also making sure we felt in good hands. Amy, you are truly a diamond! Her and her team couldn’t have worked harder to make our day special – they set up the pub to look exactly how we wanted it to and there was never a wait at the bar for service during the day. And the food! OMG the food was unreal! Our guests’ plates were loaded up so high and it tasted delicious. We went for the Deluxe BBQ menu and you couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you Amy and your team. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and you went that extra mile to make it perfect. In addition to our special day, we have been a handful of times for a drink and/or for food and have never been let down. Best pub in Bristol? It’s not even close. It’s the best pub in the UK!
